Charlie W. McCall, 76, of Hendersonville went Home to be with the Lord and his wife, Linda, Tuesday, August 22 at the Elizabeth House.
A lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Jess L. and Mary L. Scruggs McCall. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shawnya and sisters, Ann and Sallie.
Charlie graduated from Hendersonville High School and attended Western Carolina University before being drafted into the US Army. He owned and operated his own semi-truck within moving companies and was of the Baptist faith and a member of Naples Baptist Church.
He loved kidding around and never met a stranger. If he had something, he would give it. His family was number one in his life, and they will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his daughters, Charlyne McCall-Graham and Amanda Stierwalt and her husband, Mark; grandchildren, Marissa McCall, Amelia Garren, Cicely Graham, Slade Stierwalt, and Scarlett Stierwalt; great-grandchildren, MaNya, NaRiah, Amani, Maverick, Remington, and Wesley; brothers, Fred McCall and wife, Anne, James McCall and wife, Phyllis, Harvey McCall and wife, Sara, and Carroll McCall and wife, Sue; and brother-in-law, David Dill.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Naples Baptist Church with the Reverend Richard Merck officiating.
