Alma Rhodes Ballard, 85, of Horse Shoe passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at her home.
Born in Saluda, NC she was a daughter of the late Harrison Reece Rhodes, Sr. and Noda Pace Rhodes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Ballard; two brothers, Lindsey Rhodes and Grayson Rhodes; three sisters, Agnes Ballard (her twin), Altas Collins and Ader Babb and a son, Hilliard Lee Ballard.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Brooks and her husband Don of Six Mile, SC; a grandson, Barry Brooks of Horse Shoe; one sister, Mary Ann Murr of Moshiem, TN; two brothers, Harrison Rhodes, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Saluda and Hilliard Rhodes of East Flat Rock.
A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11, 2014.
