Alton Larry Connor, II (Al) of Hendersonville went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Friday, November 18, 2016 after a long battle with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. He is a son of Alton Connor (Louise) of Fletcher, and Wanda Fortson of Hendersonville. He is a son-in-law of Vallop Wisavakornsakow (Patchanee) of Fletcher, and Annette Reep (Gary) of Hot Springs.

He was employed with Smartrac Technologies in Fletcher for 10 years. He held the title of Operations Planning Coordinator.

He is survived by the love of his life, Janya’ Wisavakornsakow Connor. They were together for more than 25 years and would have celebrated 19 years of marriage on April 18, 2017. He is also survived by his loving son, Tristan Connor, age 11.

In addition to his wife and son, he is survived by a brother, Scotty Connor of Fletcher and his three children, Skylar, MaKenzie, and Hunter; Step-sisters, Tricia Lewis (Sammy) and son Elijah; Tonia Walker (Dusty) and their two children, Devin and Presley.

A few of his favorite KJV Bible verses were Psalms 34:6 “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.” Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Hoopers Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Youngblood and Rev. Roy Waldroup officiating. Burial will follow in the Hoopers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
