On the evening of Wednesday, August 10, 2022, while surrounded by her loved ones, Ann Lowe Stroup, age 97, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at Carolina Village following a brief illness.  The daughter of the late T.R. and May Belle Bishop Stepp, born on January 11, 1925, she was a lifelong resident of Henderson County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Lowe, who passed away December 27th, 1983; second husband, Dwyre Stroup, who passed away on July 18th, 2009; one daughter, Linda Lowe Maddox; and several siblings.

Ann was a resident of Carolina Village for many years, there she made many friends and loved them as if they were her family.  She enjoyed fishing, working crossword puzzles and putting puzzles together, and gardening. Ann, who had a big family, took great pride in spending time with them and loved them more than anything.  She was a member of Pinecrest Presbyterian Church in Flat Rock.

Left to cherish her precious memories are one daughter, Patricia Donaldson (Bill); one son, Terry Lowe (Jahala); four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Presbyterian Church.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation are asked to consider, Open Arms Pregnancy Center, 2939 Haywood Road, Hendersonville, North Carolina 28791(www.openarms329.com), in memory of Ann Stroup.

    I am Don Harlow, one of Aunt Ann's nephews and a son of Zella Harlow, Ann's sister, who is deseased . Aunt Ann was very loving to me during my growing up years. Ann was a very active church member and a God fearing woman. I had no doubt her relationship with God. All three of Ann's children grew up to be Christ like and loving christians.
