Ann Marie Marr, 77, of Hendersonville passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Elizabeth House. Born in New Jersey she was the daughter of the late Reinhold William and Catherine Kirby Schmidt. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Delbert “Del” Marr; son, Joseph Kenneth Marr and a brother, James Schmidt.

Ann Marie was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in NJ. She was an RN and a member of the St. Joseph’s Nursing Alumni Association. She loved to paint and was a member of the Society of Decorative Painters and the Pocono Painters. Volunteering for Interfaith Assistance Ministries was also something that brought her great joy.

Survivors included her daughter, Mary Marr of Hendersonville; son, Marty Marr of NJ; brothers, Bill Schmidt and wife Gail of FL and Michael Schmidt of CA; sister, Cathy Clum and husband Gerry of CA; and sister-in-law, Lynne Talaga and husband Marshall of NJ.

A memorial mass will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Angels. A reception will follow in the St. Francis Hall.
