Barbara Reed Knight, 68, of Hendersonville, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Pardee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Cleo Travis Reed.

She graduated from Hancock Central High School. Before moving to Hendersonville, she had resided in Indianapolis, IN.

She is survived by her daughter, Valorie Taylor and husband, Danny, of Waterloo, SC; son, David Ballard and wife, Collette, of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Daniel Ballard, Charles Ballard, Robert Bradley, Thomas Bradley, Sarah Bradley, Danielle Taylor, and Dillon Taylor; her sister, Sharon Phillips and husband, Neal, of Lebanon, IN; and her niece, Sarah Phillips and nephew, Nathan Phillips.
