Barbara A. Mazur

Barbara A. Mazur, 79, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the Elizabeth House after a long illness.  She was strong and fought a good, hard fight but was at peace in the end.

Barbara was born on July 14, 1942 in Jersey City, New Jersey, and grew up in that area until moving to Fords, New Jersey in 1972.  She moved to Hendersonville in 1999 to take care of her mother where she was a pharmacy technician until retiring in 2012.

Barbara was predeceased in death by her mother and stepfather Martha and George Futterer.

She is survived by her children, John Mazur of Arizona, Janine Mazur and husband Jordan Truesdale of North Carolina, and Monique Mazur of Florida; her brother, Eric Siebert, and wife Kim of North Carolina.  She is also survived by her grandchildren that she loved so much, Thomas HIbell, Ashley DeVino, Megan Mazur, Shayna Hoffman; her great-granddaughter, Chloe HIbell; her nephew, Anthony Siebert, and wife Natalia; as well as many loving friends.

Anyone who knew her loved her kind nature, her infectious laugh, and her love for Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. Her children and grandchildren want you to know that she was the best mother and grandmother that anyone could have asked for and she will truly be missed.

As per her wishes, there will be no formal funeral services.  The family will hold a memorial service on a future date.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Barbara’s name to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, which is something Barbara felt strongly about, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607, or by visiting www.shrinerschildrens.org.

Barbara (Queen) was a sister to me. She was one of my best friends even though we didn’t see each other much in past years. Her laugh was infectious and her heart wide open to everyone. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten!! ❤️

I will never forget working with her at Neighborcare and Park Ridge. We bowled together on a league also. Although we lost touch I thought of her often and her memories will last forever. My prayers are with you all!
