Bessie K. Seay Hill, 87, of Hendersonville, died Thursday, May 12, at Golden Living Center. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Seabrooks and Josephine Fleming Kitchens and wife of the late John B. Seay and the late Walter Hill. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mattie Blankenship and Sarah Caldwell. She had worked for Spinning Wheel Rugs and Kimberly Clark. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hill is survived by two daughters, Judith Ann Knighton of Hendersonville and Martha Louise Elmore of Gastonia; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 15, at the Kirby Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the church at the funeral home.
