Gifts & Memorial Donations

Bonnie Lynn Musselwhite, 43 of Hendersonville, peacefully entered the healing arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House.

She was born in La Plata, Maryland to Lyle and Helen Johnson on October 3, 1965. After graduating from Rosman High School in 1983, she attended various colleges, including Baptist Bible College and Blue Ridge Technical College, pursuing her love of home economics. She married Mitchell Musselwhite in 1987.

Bonnie was a homemaker and educator, teaching her and Mitchís four children at home. She loved reading, learning, sewing, classic hymns, and nutrition and strove to cultivate that same love within her children. She attended Bethany Bible Church and was active in the Henderson County Homeschool Association and 4-H.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, daughters Laura Musselwhite Rice, Rebekah and Sarah Musselwhite; and son David Musselwhite all of Hendersonville. She is also survived by her mother, and her sister, Barbara Johnson Perry also of Hendersonville.

Bonnie was loving and caring, informed and generous. She will be tremendously missed by her family and many friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Greg Stiekes officiating, and is open to all who wish to attend. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Henderson County Homeschool Association, PO Box 490, Edneyville, NC 28727.

I knew Bonnie before she married Mitch, we were at Blue Ridge College in Hendersonville. I remember how dedicated she was to her faith and how much she loved a fellow named Mitch. I moved away and it is many years later,I am happy to know she realized her dream. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

As a friend and classmate, I have fond memories of Bonnie. She was an example to all in how she lived her life and kept her focus on the Living God. I know she is rejoicing today. I've always enjoyed reading her Christmas cards and hearing about all the things your family has been doing. Bonnie and I recently cooresponded about plans for a 25 year class reunion. I'm sorry we didnt have this sooner but she will always be remembered! I pray God will comfort you all during this time. Kim Fisher Mathis, RHS class of 1983
