Brian John Edgerton, 67, of Horse Shoe, NC, died Monday, February 28, 2011 at his home.

Born in Cardiff, Wales, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Elizabeth Greenslade Edgerton.

He served in the US Air Force and graduated from college with a degree in criminal justice. Before moving to Henderson County 16 years ago, he had resided in Beaumont, Texas where he was a police officer with the Houston Police Department.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Clarissa Lilly Edgerton of Horse Shoe; children, Bradley Edgerton, Travis Edgerton and Pete Talmage Edgerton; grandchildren, Kennan Edgerton, Connor Edgerton and Kase Brian Edgerton; sister, Carole Crowell (Martin); brothers, Kenneth Edgerton (Nita) and Teddy Edgerton (Judy); special friends, Ed Worley, Don Clark, Daniel and Audrey Ward, Brandon and Regina Garland and Keith Worley; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

    Mrs. Edgerton and Family: Wanted to send my condolences and sincere love and prayers to you as I remember Brian when he would come into CVS when I worked there and say he was still around and always joking even though he didn't feel well, I always loved to talk to him and hope that those memories for you will be happy ones, he always made my day..I am no longer there but as soon as I saw the obit in the paper I had to let you know I was thinking of you
