Brian ìWesî Rivers, 23, of Hendersonville, died Thursday, January 26. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he received his High School diploma from Isothermal Community College. He was a people person and always had a smile on his face. He was a wonderful son and father. He had a big love for music and enjoyed spending time with seniors.

Surviving is his father Wesley Rivers of Candler; his mother Kelly Mast and step-father James Mast of Hendersonville; a daughter Devaja` Rivers of Hendersonville; aunts Pat Justice and husband Edwin of Austin, Texas and Vickie Wright of Black Mountain; great-aunt Betty Andrews of Hendersonville; his grandfather Crawford Boone Rivers of Fairfax, Virginia; and several other aunts and uncles and many cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am Thursday in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Revs. Robert Hefner and Billy T. Waters will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Kelly Mast for Devaja` Rivers, c/o Shuler Funeral Home, 125 Orrís Camp Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
