Bud McSwain, of Flat Rock, NC passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011.

He was born June 5th, 1948 in Boiling Springs, NC. He was the son of the late Lindsey and Pauline McSwain.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Connie Putnam McSwain of the home; son, Josh McSwain and wife, Danielle Thornton McSwain, of Raleigh, NC; sister, Margaret McSwain Walker and husband, Larry Walker of Fletcher, NC; sister, Shirley McSwain Jones of Boiling Springs, NC; numerous extended family members and a multitude of friends.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Saturday in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home, 125 Orr’s Camp Road, Hendersonville, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park Bldg. 1, Asheville, NC 28801, to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731, or to Interfaith Assistance Ministries, PO Box 2562, Hendersonville, NC 28793-2562.
