Carl William Lintjer, 84, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord Sunday morning, March 20, 2011 at Park Ridge Hospital.

A native of Muskegon, MI, he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He served in the US Air Force in WWII and received his BA from Michigan State University and MBA from Toledo University. He worked in the meat industry for over 40 years in the Human Resources Department.

A member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church, he volunteered for seven years with the Henderson County Sherriff’s Department VIP program and ten years with the Park Ridge Hospital Auxiliary. He was a people person and enjoyed helping others.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Loretta A. Lintjer; two sons, Gregory Lintjer and wife, Cynthia and Bruce Lintjer and wife, Joanne; and two grandchildren, Rebecca Barney and Mitchel Lintjer.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. His remains will be interred at Western Carolina States Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
