Charles D. “Charlie” Ringlein, 74, of Hendersonville, NC, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at his home.

Born in Swartz Creek, MI, he was the son of the late Albert and Helen Nemeth Ringlein.

He served in the US Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Before retiring, he was self-employed as a truck salesman. A resident of Henderson County for twelve years, he was a member of the Elks Club and an avid classic car collector. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his three children, Dale Ringlein and wife, Dolores, of Goodrich, MI; Perry Ringlein of Taylors, SC; and Toni Ringlein and husband, Ron Greenip, of Palm Springs, CA; former wife, Janet Ringlein of Flint, MI; his brother and sister, Ronald “Pete” Ringlein and Shirley Burton, both of Michigan; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 PM Thursday, April 10, 2008 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
