Christopher Taylor Charbonnet, 56, of Laurel Park passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013. He was the son of the late Paul Gibert Charbonnet, Jr. and Barbara Alice Hunter Charbonnet.

Christopher attended Metairie Park Country Day School and Louisiana State University. He was a Master Gardener, held a diploma in Floral Design, licenses in Horticultural Services, Landscape Contracting, and as a Commercial Pesticide Applicator. He was the recipient of the John Deere Kids Seeds Hope Award in 1998. He had passions for the outdoors, flowers, gardening, and clay pottery. His beloved dog, Betty, was faithfully always at his side. He will be missed by family and friends. We wish him much peace.

He is survived by his daughter, Samantha R. Charbonnet of Long Beach CA; his brothers Paul G. Charbonnet III of Baton Rouge LA and Hunter N. Charbonnet of Covington LA; two sisters, Laura C. Smith of New Orleans, LA and Barbara Charbonnet of Ridgewood NJ; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held at 1:30 pm Friday in the chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Christopherís memory to the Blue Ridge Humane Society, 1214 Greenville Highway, Hendersonville, NC 28792 or the Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy, 847 Case St., Hendersonville, NC 28792.
