Clara Marie Winnecke Kraft of Fletcher died March 15, 2011 at Beystone Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Evansville, Indiana where she lived until going to Washington, DC to work in the War Department. After marrying ìKlipî Klippert, they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where she remained after his tragic early death. She ultimately remarried to Raymond W. Kraft and working as a bookkeeper fed her body but knitting and crocheting fed her soul. For many years she was active in church life at Faith United Church of Christ in Cincinnati.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both her husbands, ìKlipî Klippert and Ray Kraft, and a brother, Edgar Winnecke.
She is survived by a son, Raymond Kraft and wife, Sondra, of Cincinnati; a daughter, Carolyn Keating and husband, Thomas, of Spartanburg, SC; and her family from Evansville, IN, including her brothers, Walter Winnecke (Ailene), Ralph Winnecke (Shirley), and Robert Winnecke (Mary). She will be missed by her grandchildren, Angela Stradtman, Jerrod, Zane, Kristine and Marite Keating, Kerri and Paul Hagedorn and great-granddaughter, Leah Hagedorn.
A service will be held at a later date in Cincinnati.
