Clarissa Messer Berry, 84, of Hendersonville, NC, went to be with her Lord Jesus Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Pardee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Sylva, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lynn Messer and Iva Crisp Messer, the second of twelve children. She was the wife of the late Vaughn E. Berry.

She had resided in Hendersonville since 1949 and retired from GE. She was a member of East Flat Rock First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Vaughn Berry, Jr. and John Berry. She enjoyed six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, July 27, 2008 at East Flat Rock First Baptist Church. Her grandsons, John Berry and Brandon Berry, will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
