Dan Barton, 66 of Brevard, died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Mission Hospitals St. Josephís Campus.

A native and lifelong resident of Transylvania county, he was a son of Beatrice Barton of Brevard and the late Fred Barton. A brother Benny Barton also preceded him in death.

He worked at Cedar Mtn. Golf Course for the past several years and attended the Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving in addition to his mother, is his wife Linda Barton; sisters and brothers, Barbara Harper of Catawba, SC, Douglas Barton, Linda Fisher, Kenneth Barton, Rita Taylor and Helen Hoxit all of Brevard; and several nieces and nephews.

No service is planned.
