Darlene Lamb Pitts, 69 of Hendersonville died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Pardee Memorial Hospital.

A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Bob & Ruby Lamb. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Doris Beddingfield. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, loved to work jigsaw puzzles, and play cards with her dear friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, Willard Pitts; three children, Veronica McClintock and her husband Greg of Dana, Mitchell Pitts and his wife Beth of Dana, and Keith Pitts and his wife Tathy Camp Pitts of Zirconia; five grandchildren, Sammy laughter, Matthew McClintock, Kasey Pitts, Toree Pitts, and Ethan Pitts; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Dale Pearson of Edneyville, several nieces and nephews, and her lifetime friend, Linda Justice.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Talley and Sherrill Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 PM to 2:00 on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the church.
