David Carlton Corn, 77, of Hendersonville passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Park Ridge hospital after a sudden illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. He retired from Cranston Print Works after thirty-one years of service. He was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-eight years, Lola Corn; a son, David M. Corn of Hendersonville; two daughters, Cindy Hoots of Flat Rock, and Pamela Osteen of Hendersonville; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Teddy and Mac Corn, both of Hendersonville; a sister, Joe Ann Workman of Clearwater, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be at 3:00 pm Monday at Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Revs. James Maybin and Steven Newman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 pm prior to the service in the church.
