David Eugene Jackson, 60, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 15, 2018. He was the son of the late Eugene Jordan Jackson, Jr. and Betty Warnock Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his sister Suzanne Jackson. He was born and raised in Hendersonville, NC where he graduated from Hendersonville High School and went on to attend Berea College. After college he resided in Florida and Georgia before returning home to Hendersonville.

David was the proud father of five children with whom he loved spending time. He enjoyed time at the beach, deep sea fishing with his friends and spending time in the mountains. He was a self-taught construction superintendent and was responsible for the oversight of several large commercial projects in the Metro Atlanta area.

He is survived by his children, Jacob Jackson and his wife Kaitlyn of Marietta, GA and Jeremy Jackson and his wife Pryce of Atlanta, GA, both children that he shared with former spouse Joyce Elaine Jackson; Laura Dryden and her husband Adam of Greenville, SC, Daniel Jackson of Astoria, OR, and Benjamin Jackson of Atlanta, GA, children that he shared with former spouse Martha Millard Jackson; sisters, Marguerite Murphy of Griffin, GA, and Deborah Mihalik and her husband John of Hendersonville; and brother Mark Jackson and his wife Jill of Hendersonville; numerous loving nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Hendersonville First Baptist Church with the Reverend Steve Scoggins officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
