Diccie Lynne Cantor, 72, of Hendersonville entered into Godís eternal care on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

Born August 31, 1941 in Greensboro, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Minnie V. Mann Pickett and the stepdaughter of the late Lula M. McClain Pickett-Johnson. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James R. Pickett, Jr. and Leonard Pickett, and by her sister, Annie M. Pickett.

Diccie was a member of the Hendersonville First Baptist Church and their Bible study group. She enjoyed cooking for her family, traveling, painting landscapes, reading her Nook, and watching the old TV Westerns. Diccieís working career was spent at the Social Security headquarters in Baltimore, MD.

Diccie is survived by her adoring husband, Hal J. Cantor, who referred to her as his princess; her stepson, three grandsons and two granddaughters.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The Reverend John Rymer will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
