Donald Harvey Fuller went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 7th, 2014. Mr. Fuller was the son of Harvey M. and Verna M. Fuller of Miami, Florida. He was a business major at the University of Alabama after which he served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the General Electric Company for 30 years as a lighting engineer and a district manager. He was an active member of the Republican Party.

As a young father he served as a scout master, junior achievement advisor and as a football, baseball, and bowling coach. Football was his sports passion, coaching for 17 years and devotedly following his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide.

Accepting Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 41, much of his time was given to advancing the gospel he loved. In Covington Louisiana he helped form Northlake Christian Fellowship. He was also a charter Board member of Youth for Christ, Campus Life, as well as Christian Business Men’s Committee (CBMC). In 2000, as Chairman of the Asheville North Carolina CBMC, he proposed and planned the annual Leadership Prayer Breakfast, that has continued the last 14 years. He was a deacon and elder for many years in his home churches in Louisiana and North Carolina, teaching adult Sunday school and leading Lifestyle Evangelism, Living Proof, and Crown Ministries Financial Seminars. He was privileged to disciple over 30 men in their personal walks with Christ. Don enjoyed volunteering at the Billy Graham Training Centre at the Cove for 6 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Beverly Faust Fuller of Hendersonville; one son, Don Fuller Jr. and wife Sheri, their children Jona and Claire of Wheaton Illinois; one daughter, Stephanie Kiratzis, her husband Philip Kiratzis, their children Alexander, his wife Taylor, Nicholas and Zoe Kiratzis of Fletcher; and one sister, Jeanne Villar of Montgomery, Alabama.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service 12:00 PM on Friday, October 17, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, 312 Fifth Avenue West, Hendersonville. Rev. Wally Shamburger will officiate. The family will receive guests Friday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the church.
