Doris Bishop, 43, of Horse Shoe, died Monday, October 22, at the Elizabeth House following a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of Lila Holden Bishop of Mills River and the late Carl Ray Bishop. She is survived, in addition to her mother, by her beloved Little John Rogers; her daughter, Shannon Dillin and her husband Thomas Roper; her son, Thomas Dillin and her brother, Tommy Bishop. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, October 28, at the home of her daughter on 306 Sugar St., Hendersonville.
