    Virginia says:
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I know this is a very difficult time for you. Please accept my deepest condolences. God’s Word provides us with this comfort and hope for the future. When speaking of the future Psalms 37:29 says, "the righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it". This shows us a few things: 1)The earth itself will remain forever. No apocalypse or crazy atomic bomb or anything of the sort will destroy the earth. 2) Only the righteous will inhabit the earth in the near future. Note, it says 'the earth' not heaven. Only those who God deems as righteous, that is, those who live up to God's standards not men's will enjoy everlasting life. 3) They will live forever. That's the same hope our first father's Adam and Eve had. Unfortunately they were disobedient. But thanks to the ransom of our Lord Jesus Christ we have a wonderful future in store.
