    Ethel & Bill Snell says:
Doug was one of the highlights of coming to CRNA every winter. This last year, Doug and Marion spent the winter in NC. We would sit on our front porch and watch strangers go in and out of the Alston home. We missed both of them. We considered Doug to be one of our very special friends. Ethel and Bill Snell

    Dr. Phil Ayers says:
Dear Marion, My name is Dr. Phil Ayers. We have not met personally but I feel I know you through your daughter, Brooke. I share in your grief of the loss of your husband, Douglas, of 60 years. That is a GREAT testimony, being married that long. It gives me and hundreds of others hope for our future-seeing that God's plan for a husband and wife really does work. It must so hard for you right now without him. Please know that I and my prayer team are praying for you and your family, but especially for you. Our church will be honored to donate funds to the memorial in his name. If I can help during this time, please call me at 540-309-1908. God's blessings to you, Dr. Phil

    David & Carmen says:
Our hearts were heavy when we heard of Doug's passing. He was the first person we meet when we went into Citrus Ridge and one of the best. Last winter we encountered the loss of him moving away and now his family is encountering a much greater loss. We are offering our deepest smypathies. The world has lost one great guy.

Mrs Alston, just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers at these hard times. I'm one of the CMA members with Brooke. Words alone can you express what you are going through but remember God is there for you.
