Dwain Rogers, 53, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away Sunday morning, February 24, 2008.
A lifelong resident of the Fruitland area of Henderson County, he was the son of Ruth Lanning Rogers of Hendersonville and the late Horace G. Rogers.
He enjoyed mowing grass and working in the yard. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. Always smiling, he hugged everyone and never met a stranger. He attended Fruitland United Methodist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Hoyle Rogers and Darius Rogers and wife, Sandy, of Hendersonville; three sisters, Wanda Rogers, Gwendolyn Rogers, and Ruby Jean Taylor and husband, John, all of Hendersonville; three nieces, Carrie Wooldridge and husband, Chris, Candice Rogers, and Carissa Rogers; and three nephews, Carson Rogers, Corey Rogers, and Caleb Rogers.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Fruitland United Methodist Church. The Reverend Jerry Warren of Fruitland United Methodist Church and the Reverend David MacEachern of Bat Cave Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Lanning-Pittillo Cemetery. The family will receive friends one-half hour prior to the service at the church.
