Edgar “Dale” Bryson

Edgar Dale Bryson, 63, of Hendersonville, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Elizabeth House.

He was a longtime resident of Henderson County, and a son of the late Wade and Betty Bryson. He was a 1978 graduate of Appalachian State University, Where he received a Bachelorís degree in Accounting. Dale retired as CFO of ReGenesis HealthCare and was a member of Boylston Baptist Church. He served his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany and Vietnam. Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time.

He is survived by his wife of thirty four years, Betty Mintz Bryson; a son, Greg Bryson and his wife Carolanne of Bowman, GA; 2 daughters, Marie Bryson of Inman, SC, and Marlo Bryson Freeman and her husband Sydney of Mills river; a grandson, Marshall Wade Case of Mills river, NC; three brothers, Kenneth Bryson, William Bryson and Clyde Bryson all of Mills River; a sister, Priscilla Duncan of Mills River and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 1:00 pm Monday at Boylston Baptist Church. The Reverend Jimmy Burris will officiate. Entombment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
