Edward “Max” Ramey of Hendersonville, NC, was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. On January 20, 2023, at the age of 87, he left this world to begin anew with our Heavenly Father.
Max was born in Enka, NC, to the late V.L. Ramey and Mabel Jones Ramey. He was preceded in death by his brother, Don Ramey.
Max is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy King Ramey, who he would say changed his life the day they met. Max is also survived by his children Toni Ramey, Terri Swann and husband Randy, and Steven Ramey and his wife Pia; his grandchildren Kayla Swann, Kristen Smith and husband Carson, Alexander Ramey, and Sean Ramey. As well as great-granddaughter Blakely, who didn’t get the blessing of shared time on this earth with him before his passing.
Max served in the U.S. Army and was a dedicated electrician that retired from Ecusta after 42 years of diligent employment. He was a proud member of Kedron Lodge 387, AF & AM, and Main Street Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at two o’clock on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Main Street Baptist Church in Hendersonville with the Reverend John Mason officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and graveside services will be held following the funeral at Shepherd Memorial Park.
