Elaine G. Benson, 69, of Flat Rock, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 30, 2015. She was a daughter of the late Horace and Grace Wells Gasperson. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Marshall Gasperson.

Elaine was a member of Dana Baptist Church, she loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her bible.

Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Harley Benson; son, Jerry D. Benson (Tonya) of Flat Rock; daughter, Holly B. Turner (Greg) of Columbus; four grandchildren, Courtney, Dawson, Gracie and Bella; one great-grandson, Ryker Wolf; two sisters, Glenda Craig of Enka and Shirley Bostic (Wade) of Dana; brother, Larry Gasperson (Polly) of Brevard.

Funeral services will be held 11am on Wednesday, August, 5, 2015 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Blackwell officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the park.
