Eleanor Gardner Pearson

Eleanor Gardner Fox Pearson, 94, of Hendersonville, NC, died Thursday morning, November 20, 2008 at Pardee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Croswell, MI, she was the daughter of the late Nina Palmer and Walter J. Fox. She was also preceded in death by her son, Marc Owen Murray; husband, Victor Pearson; and stepson, Bill Pearson.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Murray Ortega and husband, Felipe, of Hendersonville; sons, Paul R. Murray and wife, Urai, and Kenneth R. Murray and wife, Wilma, all of Udontani, Thailand; and Stephen D. Murray and wife, Barbara, of Shelbyville, KY; stepdaughter, Mary Hanson and husband, Jon, of Fenton, MI; grandchildren, Melanie Lowe of Hendersonville; Mimi Frazier of Prospect, KY; Kerry Whittaker of Dana; Amy Sapp of Shelbyville, KY; and Patriya Murray and Marc Murray of Udontani, Thailand; former daughter-in-law, Adonna Pearson and Paul of Springhill, FL; nieces, Sherry Greenfield and Michelle Fox of Tierra Verde, FL; a dear family friend who is our personal angel, Marilyn Duggins; and many wonderful great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their special thanks to all the former and present employees and friends at Hendersonville Health and Rehab, especially Brooke and Diane.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no memorial service, but her ashes will be spread in the Blue Ridge Mountains that she so loved on a beautiful Spring day by family and friends.
