Estelle “Stella” Bloodworth

Estelle “Stella” Bloodworth, 89, of Hendersonville passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Elizabeth House. She was a daughter of the late William Lawrence and Demma V. Cothren Ferguson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Archie B. Bloodworth in 1956, and brothers, Eddie and Joe Ferguson.

Born in Mississippi, she had resided in Henderson County since 1987 and was a member of First Baptist Church East Flat Rock. Stella worked for Mississippi Baptist Hospital and Central Orthopedic Clinic as an RN. She was an active member in the former Barker Heights Community Club and was on the Board of Directors for WCCA.

Survivors include her son, Michael Bloodsworth and wife, Dolly, of Hendersonville; four grandchildren, Brooke, Dana, Catherine and Candice; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Molly York of LA; two nephews and one niece.

A memorial service will be held 2pm on Friday, February 9, 2018 at First Baptist Church East Flat Rock. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to the service.
