Eva Mae Beck Silver, 48, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord peacefully, while surrounded by her family and friends, Friday, October 17, 2014. A native of Jackson County, Eva lived in Henderson County the last twelve years. She was a daughter of the late James Beck and Marie Beck of Balsam.
Eva was a 1984 graduate of Sylva-Webster High School and a 1986 graduate of Haywood Community College. She was employed with Pardee Hospital, CLASP. Eva was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and an interpreter for the Deaf Ministry. She was also a former member of FOCUS at Bent Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband Randy Silver; a step-daughter, Amanda Silver of Hendersonville; a sister, Anna Whitmire and her husband Martin of Candler; a niece, Monica Whitmire of Charlotte; a nephew Daniel Whitmire of Charlotte; a special aunt, Jessie Case of Tryon; aunt, Lori Newman of Tryon; uncle, Harold Newman of Clayton, GA; and numerous cousins.
A funeral will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Ebenezer Baptist Church. The Revs. Chuck Waldrup, Dan Anderson, Artis Bush and Phillip Case will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Sunday at Shuler Funeral Home.
