Francis “Frank” Kluge of Hendersonville, NC went home to be with the Lord on March 16, 2016. He was born July 31, 1932 in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, IL where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and attended banking school at the University of Wisconsin. Frank served with the 1st Division of the U.S. Army in Europe from 1958-1960. He was employed with the New Lenox State Bank in New Lenox, IL for 32 years, retiring in 1992. He was elected Township Clerk for 28 years and was an active member of New Lenox Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, Salvation Army and the Illinois Banker’s Association from which he retired in 1993.
Mr. Kluge is survived by his wife, Carol M. Kluge and his daughter and son in-law, Hope and Patricio Alvarez. A memorial mass will be celebrated 10:30 am Monday, March 21, in the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel of Immaculate Conception Church. The family will receive guests in the St. Francis Hall of the church following the service. A private interment will be held in Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
