Fred Hess, 93, of Hendersonville, NC, died Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Charles George VA Medical Center Hospice.
He came to the United States with his parents in 1926 and served in the US Army during World War II.
He lived most of his life in New York and retired in Florida. For the past 18 months, he had lived with his daughter and son-in-law in Hendersonville.
He is survived by his son, Jerrold Hess, of Hendersonville; daughter, Judy Hilliard, of Hendersonville; and granddaughter, Katie Hilliard, of New York City.
No services are planned.
