He was born in Pottsville, PA on May 16, 1930, the son of George and Lenore Liebner Benonis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Anne Marie, and his brother, Rev. William.

Fred attended St. Patrick’s grade school and graduated in 1948 from Pottsville Catholic High School where he played both football and basketball. Richard, just a note to say how sorry for the loss of your brother, Frederick. I recently lost Bill after 64.5 years and well know the suffering and the loss of a member of the family. God bless and keep you all safe in HIS hands.
