Geneva Emma Clayton Smith, 83, of Hendersonville died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at her home.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Garfield and Evelyn Wilson Clayton. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Smith, Sr. and Olin Jones.

She was a member of the South Hendersonville Congregation of Jehovahís Witnesses.

She is survived by her daughter, Eva Jean Smith Johnson and husband, John, of Belle Glade, FL; her sons, Garfield Smith and wife, Cynthia, of Belews Creek, NC, and Johnnie Jones and wife, Sharon, of Hendersonville; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 15, 2010 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Mr. Roger Hagaman will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
