George Richard Kling, 83, of Hendersonville passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Carolina Village Medical Center.

He lived in Livingston, NJ for many years before moving to Hendersonville in 1992. He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hendersonville. He served as a volunteer with the North Carolina Arboretum and also with Habitat for Humanity.

He served in the US Navy during WWII and was employed by Westinghouse Electric Company for 32 years before retiring.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Fleurette Stock Kling; son, David Kling and wife, Gerri of Livingston, NJ; grandchildren, Jacob and Lindsay Kling; brother, William Kling of Hendersonville; and sister, Jeanne Lykes of Matamoras, PA.
