Gerald Eugene Garren, Sr., 77, of Hendersonville passed away, Friday, September 21, 2018.

A native of Henderson County and a son of the late Charles and Lora Hill Garren. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Grace Blackwell.

Gerald served in the National Guard for 2 years and was self employed as a logger.

He is survived by his sons, Gerald E. Garren, Jr., Gary E. Garren and girlfriend Crystal, and Michael A. Garren and wife Terri; daughter, J. Annette Wilkerson; grandchildren, Joseph and wife Jenny, Tyler, Justin and wife Danielle, Tanner and wife Jazmine, Amber and Kaleigh; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Williams and husband Bobby; brother, Grady Garren, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11am, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Bayne officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends at 134 Lora Cantrell Drive after the funeral.
