Gerald Lee Walker, 79, of Flat Rock, left this world to be on the other side of the river with his Lord on Sunday, March 20, 2016 following a long battle with kidney disease. Born in Lyman, SC, he was the son of the late Travis Lee and Latisha Wingo Walker. He was also preceded in death by his son, Roger Lee Walker; brother-in-law, Horace Greenway and sister-in-law, Judy G. Collins.

A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Gerald was a member of Pine Crest Presbyterian Church in Flat Rock. During his working years, he was a bank manager in Greenville, SC and also in Tennessee. Gerald was an avid collector of Bluegrass and Gospel music, carrying with him a vast knowledge and love for the music.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Hazel G. Walker; nephew, Keith White and his wife Marsha; close family friends, Troy Brannon and Nancy Rowder as well as the many friends that he met at the dialysis clinic.
