Gordon Douglas Miller

Gordon Douglas Miller Sr., 72, of Flat Rock, NC died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 at home with family and friends.

He was born in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Henry and Alice Miller and husband of the late Lillian Elva Miller who died in 2007. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Henry Miller Jr.

He retired from General Motors as a Senior Engineer. Church, family, friends and motorcycles were his passion for life. He was a member of Pinecrest Presbyterian Church and was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by three sons; Gordon Miller Jr. of Saline, MI, Mike Miller of Houston, TX, and Chris Miller of Dumfries, VA; two daughters, Pam Hicks of Cape Coral, FL, and Salley Burns of Monroe, MI.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 19, 11am at Pinecrest Presbyterian Church. The Reverends Charles B. Evans and Anthony Ward will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7pm to 8:30pm at Shuler Funeral Home.
