Harvey E. Jaffe, 67 of Hendersonville, formerly of Cape Coral, FL and Passaic, NJ, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at The Elizabeth House.

Born in Patterson, NJ, he lived in Passaic for over 20 years prior to moving to Cape Coral and then Hendersonville, NC. He was a son of the late Morris and Mariam Jaffe. A US Air Force veteran, he was a graduate of Long Island University and owned and operated his own security system business for 30 years.

He was the longtime President of Temple Har Shalom in Warren, NJ where he was very close to Rabbi Jaffe and was a founding member and builder of the congregation. Later, he was President of Temple Beth Shalom in Ft. Myers, FL.

He was an Executive Officer with the Cape Coral Power Squadron and the Cape Coral Elks Lodge.

Surviving are his wife Donna Jaffe; two daughters Samantha Jaffe and Marla Storm; a brother Stanley Jaffe; a sister Carol Tepper; step-children Joel J. Rose and Amy L. Ramos; and three grandchildren.

Services will be private.
