Hazel Johnson Baker, 73, of Horse Shoe passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at the Elizabeth House. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the wife of the late Jerry Baker who died in 2010. She had received guests at the front desk of Crooked Creek golf Club for over 15 years and was a member of the Hendersonville Elks Lodge. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Baker is survived by two children, Audrey Ward and her husband Daniel of Horse Shoe and Alan Baker and his wife Donna of Etowah and two grandsons, Austin and Garrett. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, April 14, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Larry Appleby will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development 2900 Rocky Point Drive,Tampa, FL 33607 or to Four Seasons Compassion for Life Elizabeth House, 571 S. Allen Rd. Flat Rock, NC 28731.
