She was born on Sunday, March 1, 1959, in Asheville, NC to Troy F. and Julia (Owenby) Rhodes.

Heidi was a very special young lady with beautiful innocent eyes, sneaky grin and she loved to give special hugs to her family and friends.  Her favorite thing to do was to say the blessing at dinner over the many years and fondly enjoyed keeping her family in line.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted mother, Julia Rhodes of Hendersonville and two brothers, Freddie Rhodes and Lisa and Ricky Rhodes and Trina; two sisters, Paula Klumpp and Fred and Pam Cairnes and Jim all of Henderson County.  She will also be missed by her many aunts and uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her beloved father, Troy who died, January 29, 1999, she is preceded in death by her sister-law, Phyllis Rhodes.

The family will gather together to celebrate, Heidi’s extraordinary life at a graveside service to be eleven o’clock Friday morning, January 27, 2023, at the Edneyville United Methodist Church Cemetery, 799 Bearwallow Road, Hendersonville, NC with Rev. My late husband Jack Crowder and I were live-in managers at the Henderson Co Sheltered Workshop group home when Heidi was a resident there from 1977 to late 1979. Heidi was, without a doubt, one of the sweetest of our residents, and she always made us smile with her innocent love of everybody. She loved going to church at First Baptist, and especially enjoyed the attention she received from the folks there. No doubt that little soul of hers is now in the presence of our Lord.

I met Heidi when I was an Administrator at RHA and remember her as beautiful person with a kind personality and a warm smile. My thoughts and prayers go out to all her family and friends. She is now amongst the angels.

Heidi was a patient of mine at the lab and she always gave me hugs after I drew her blood. Such a sweet soul. Many prayers for the family
