Henry H. Johnson, 81 of Flat Rock, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at his home. A native of Kentucky, he was a son of the late George and Marian Johnson and had lived in Henderson County since 1983. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Gladys and Betty; and his brothers Bill, Ed, Otis, and Charlie.

He was most recently worked for many years as a security guard for Carolina Village.

Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Norma Johnson; brothers Randolph, Sam, Jerry, Lee, and Tim Johnson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Pastors Larry Wilson and Norman Bayne will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
