Henry Lee Mixon, Sr., 70, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, August 22, 2010 at the Elizabeth House following an extended illness.

Born in Fairfax, SC, he was a son of the late Charlie and Quennie Altman Mixon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy and Cecil Mixon.

He enjoyed fishing and just being outdoors. He also liked to work on cars. He was a wonderful father and a loving husband.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lorraine Wyatt Mixon; children, Patricia Kelly, Linda Call, and Henry Mixon, Jr.; grandchildren, Misty Pittman, Christopher Stepp, Amber Kelly, and Jamie Kelly; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Mixon and Junior Sineath; and one sister, Mary Wilson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Hendersonville Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Reverend Andy Craver will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
