Hoyte K. Jones, 85, of Hendersonville, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009, at the Elizabeth House. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late J.P. and Zella Kerr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roland Jones and her son Alan Jones.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and graduated from Edneyville High School in 1940. She was a member of Mountain Home Baptist Church in Edneyville and a long time member of the Curb Market. She was a lover of Gospel Music and served as a church pianist for 55 years.

She is survived by one son, Daniel Jones and wife Dianne of Vero Beach, Fl; one daughter, Janet Haynes and husband Robert, of Hendersonville; three grandsons, Michael Haynes and wife Rachel, of Hendersonville, Keith Jones and wife Jessica, of Orlando, Fl, and Kevin Jones, of Orlando; and two great-grandsons, Ellis and Jaiden.

    just to let you know we are thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers. hoyte was a blessing to so many people. even our childhood has so many fond memories of her and that went even to adulthood.
