Jack T. Hoffman, 85, of Hendersonville, NC, died Friday morning, February 5, 2010.

He was the son of the late Raymond Claire Hoffman and Jane Louise McQuiston Hoffman.

He retired from the Army as a career Army Chief Warrant Officer (CWO3) and from the National Security Agency as an analyst. A thirty-year resident of Henderson County, he lived twenty-five of those years on Little River Road in Flat Rock. He was a former volunteer at the Henderson County Courthouse.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Geraldine Aley Hoffman of Hendersonville; his children, Susan H. Goldberg and husband; David T. Hoffman and wife; and Jeffrey D. Hoffman; brother, Robert E. Hoffman; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue / Bob Hope Road, Miami, Florida 33136-1494.
