Jacqueline Dolen Plemmons, 68, of Hendersonville, NC, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 16, 2008.

Born in Buncombe County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Earl Lincoln Dolen and Myrtle Jane Allen Dolen, and wife of the late Hal Ray Plemmons. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Vicki S. Taylor and Kimberly J. Bierer, and sisters, JoAnne Smith and Mary ìSue-Sueî Dolen.

She had lived in Henderson County most of her life and was a member of the New Beginnings Christian Fellowship. She loved making crafts and playing the piano at church and at home.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Sherlin and husband, Ray, of Asheville; Theresa Reiter and husband, Craig, of Lakeland, FL; and Cindy Tillett and husband, Bren, of Powells Point, NC; sister, Wanda Jean Searcy; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, September 19, 2008 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. The Reverend Tom Burke will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family wishes to express special thanks to their friends and to the caregivers at Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care for all their prayers and support.
