James Allen, Jr., 53, of Hendersonville died Sunday, November 16, at Pardee Hospital. A lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was the son of James Allen, Sr. of Hendersonville and the late Betty Williams Allen and husband of the late Marilyn Hamilton Allen.

He was a truck driver for Fletcher Feed and Seed for many years and had attended Balfour Baptist Church. He loved being outdoors and working with anything automotive. He was also a skilled paint and body craftsman.

Mr. Allen is survived, in addition to his father, by his step-mother, Frankie Mathis Allen; sister, Leslie A. Guffey; two step-brothers, Wayne and Christopher Jones of Hendersonville; a step-sister, Donna Jones of Hendersonville; a nephew, Isaac Guffey of Hendersonville and many other extended family.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
